It’s our go-to when we want a laid-back meal with a view, especially when we’ve got friends or family in town. But honestly, even when it’s just us and the dogs, it never disappoints.

• You can’t beat the view. With floor-to-ceiling windows and a wrap-around deck perched right over the Ashley River, every seat feels like the best in the house.
• The outdoor patio is pet-friendly, and we’ve had many relaxed lunches there with our two pups lounging in the sunshine. (Heads up: lunch is a weekend-only option—the restaurant opens at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday and at 4 pm Monday through Friday.)
• The vibe strikes that perfect balance—casual, scenic, and still special enough for birthdays or celebrations.

What We Always Order

There’s a lot to love on the menu, but some things are non-negotiable in our house:

• The Famous Croissants – If you know, you know. Buttery, fluffy, and served warm. (Yes, you’ll want extra.)
• Seafood Nachos – Piled high and perfect for sharing. They’re always a hit, whether it’s date night or dinner with the kids.

Is California Dreaming in Charleston open for lunch?

Only on weekends. It opens at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday; Monday through Friday it opens at 4 pm, so plan weekday visits for dinner.

What are California Dreaming Charleston’s hours?

Does California Dreaming take reservations?
