Early Morning Bird Walk at Caw Caw

Join us on one or more of our regular bird walks. Our trek through many distinct habitats will allow us to view and discuss a variety of birds, butterflies, and other organisms. Spanning 1,046 acres, this remarkable landscape was once home to thriving rice plantations in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Landscape alterations from this period contribute to the site’s current habitat diversity and is a main factor behind the wide variety of wildlife seen at the park. Thanks to decades of observation, including bird walks dating back to 1985, an astounding 274 bird species have been recorded at Caw Caw Interpretive Center, making every visit a new opportunity for discovery. Registration is REQUIRED and on-site registration will not be available. Gold Pass holders may register up to 4 spots total but must register to reserve all spots. Cost: The registration fee is $12, or free for Gold Pass members (up to four participants per Gold Pass)..
