Charleston County Public Library: “Endless Eras”
Program Dates: June 1 – July 31st, 2026
Charleston County libraries are inviting readers to “travel” the world through books this summer. Their summer program is packed with reading goals, cultural events, and some really fun prizes.
Here’s what to expect:
- Track reading time using the Beanstack app or a paper log
- Earn prizes at 10, 25, and 45 day milestones (prizes like T-shirts, local attraction vouchers, and more!)
- Enjoy free events like Japanese drumming, West African dance, teen laser tag, and hands-on art programs
- Free meals and snacks offered at select branches for participating families

Berkeley County Library Summer Reading Adventure
Program Dates: June 1 – August 3rd, 2026
Kids, teens, and adults can join in the fun this summer with Berkeley County Library’s reading program. It’s designed to get the whole family reading, exploring, and learning together. Win all kinds of fun swag for participating. Registration starts May 18th, 2026.
Here’s what to expect:
- Register and log reading online with Beanstack or with a paper log

Berkley County Library Summer Reading
Dorchester County Library Summer Reading Challenge
Program Dates: June 1 – July 31, 2026
Dorchester County Libraries make it easy and fun to keep your child reading all summer long with daily activities and fun rewards.
Here’s what to expect:
- Sign up using Beanstack or pick up a game card at the library
- Read or complete activities for 40 days to win a small prize, like a day pass to a local museum!
- Drawings for larger prizes
- Complete 20 days and earn a free book!
Dorchester County Library Summer Reading Programs
Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
For Grades 1–6
Love bookstores? This one’s for you! Kids can read books of their choice and get rewarded with a free book of their own.
Here’s how it works:
- Read 8 books and record them in the official Barnes & Noble Reading Journal
- Write what they liked about each story
- Bring the completed journal to a store between July 1–August 31 to choose a free book from a pre-selected list

Pizza Hut Book It! Program
Reading for pizza! This one is probably tugging at your nostalgic heartstrings: Pizza Hut’s Book It! program is back for 2026! This program is for kids in PreK – 6th grade.
- Enroll now for the summer reading program
- By logging the reading they complete in June, July, and August, kids earn a free one-topping personal pan pizza.
Clemson University Summer Reading Skills Program (Charleston Campus)
