We recently visited and had such a great time climbing, swinging, and wandering the trails that we could have stayed all day. If you’re planning a visit, here’s everything you need to know — including parking, bathrooms, and what kids will love most about this new park.

Bridge Pointe Eco Park

There is a wonderful new park in West Ashley, Charleston, South Carolina called Bridge Pointe Ecological Park — and it’s now open for everyone to explore and enjoy!

This space used to be home to 32 townhouses that often flooded during big rainstorms. The City of Charleston purchased the land and transformed it into a beautiful park where nature and fun come together for families.

In 2020, the City of Charleston was awarded a grant to turn the area into a stormwater storage space that can hold up to 10,000 gallons of water. While creating this helpful feature for the surrounding neighborhood, the city also designed a lovely park for the community.

Bridge Pointe helps keep nature healthy while giving kids and families a safe, fun place to play, walk on trails, and learn about plants and animals.

We visited and played at this park and honestly could have stayed all day! The kids loved the climbing tower, and my favorite moment was Cade pushing us on the hammock-style swing — so relaxing. The play area is beautifully designed and blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature.
