What to Order at Bodega
My husband and I had a breakfast date here and it was so good! I’ve eaten here multiple times and gotten something different each time, and it never disappoints. Here are the two standouts:

- The Bodega Classic (breakfast): A runny egg and American cheese on a kaiser roll, with add-ons like bacon, breakfast sausage, Taylor ham, smoked salmon, vegan sausage or avocado. It is a great breakfast sandwich.
- The Caprese (lunch): Burrata, tomato, roasted pepper, pesto and balsamic glaze on a seeded hoagie roll. It is so good for lunch.
Truly, you cannot go wrong with anything you order. If you want to try something different each time like I do, the menu also includes breakfast platters, bowls served over home fries, deli sandwiches, and sweet options like Candy Shoppe Pancakes (buttermilk pancakes with the candy shelf, whipped cream and chocolate syrup).
Good to know: The two locations do not have identical menus. The Caprese, for example, is on the Mount Pleasant menu but was not on the downtown lunch sandwich list on Bodega’s website when this article was written, so look at the menu for the location you are visiting. You can browse both on the Mount Pleasant menu page and the downtown menu page.
Bringing the Kids to Bodega
Both locations have a kid’s menu with simple, familiar sandwiches on a kaiser roll: bacon, egg and cheese, chicken salad, BLT, turkey, PB&J and grilled cheese. Add the counter-service setup and the kid-friendly TV, and it is an easy stop for a family breakfast or a quick lunch.

If you are downtown, you are right by the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry (25 Ann Street), so it pairs well with a museum day.
Full Bar and Patio: Hello, Mimosa
Here is the grown-up bonus: the restaurant has a full bar, and the patio is perfect for a mimosa! The Mount Pleasant cocktail menu lists mimosas with your choice of fresh-squeezed orange juice, mango, strawberry, grapefruit or peach, plus a Bloody Mary, an espresso martini and an Aperol spritz.

Tip: Want to skip the line? Order pickup or delivery from either location on the Bodega online ordering page.
