Conveyor Belt Sushi in Mount Pleasant, SC: Why Kids Love Revolving Kingdom Sushi

Posted on |

In this article: What it is like to eat at Revolving Kingdom Sushi, the new conveyor belt sushi restaurant at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. You will learn how the belt and robot service work, what our kids ordered, and the one tip that saves you a long wait on the sidewalk.

Robot sushi! That is what my daughter calls it, because a robot brings your meal to the table. If you would rather skip the robot, you can grab your plates right off the moving conveyor belt instead. Either way, it is dinner and a show, and my kids loved it.

How the Conveyor Belt Works

Each plate on the belt comes with three pieces, so you can sample a nice variety without committing to a big roll. Plates are $5 each, so it is easy to keep track of what you are spending.

The rolls have kid-friendly names like SpongeBob, Paw Patrol, and Batman. I personally liked the Batman!

Robots and Trains Deliver Your Order

You do not have to stick to the belt. If you order a specific roll, it can be delivered a few different ways. A robot server can roll right up to your table, and a little cat-shaped train rides a track on the shelf above the belt. When I ordered my daughter a California roll, it came on the “robot cat” on the top shelf above the conveyor belt.

What We Ordered

My daughter loved the dumplings, her go-to California roll, and the Paw Patrol roll. My son loves all sushi, but the seaweed salad was his favorite this trip. With three pieces per plate, it was easy to let each kid build their own mini sushi sampler.

Tip: Get there early! The line goes down the sidewalk and fills up so fast. The restaurant is not that big, so being in line early is key.

My Verdict

This one is a win with my kids. The belt keeps little hands busy, the robot and the cat train make the meal feel like an event, and the kid-friendly roll names are fun for little ones. The catch is the wait, so plan to show up early.
