Join Cultural History Interpretation Coordinator Georgette Rivera and Cultural History Interpretive Lead Aide Kat Cutting at Caw Caw Interpretive Center for an immersive, hands-on workshop that blends history, science, creativity, and reflection. Learn how indigo became a major cash crop in colonial South Carolina, how enslaved African and African-descended men and women cultivated and processed the plant, and why indigo carries layered cultural memories for different individuals and communities.
